HACKNEY HORSE CLASSES -

 We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Hackney Horse and Pony classes at The Sandringham Festival of Carriage Driving, a fantastic new venture that we hope you will support. As the only event in the UK to bring together seven different driving disciplines, this unique festival is the perfect platform to showcase the incredible Hackney breed to spectators and fellow driving enthusiasts. We encourage as many Hackneys as possible to take part and demonstrate their elegance, presence, and brilliance on Saturday, 28th June.

In addition, there will be Private Driving classes on Sunday for both Hackneys and non-Hackneys, ensuring opportunities for all competitors, whether seasoned or new to the sport. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, we are also running a pleasure drive on Sunday, offering a wonderful chance to enjoy the stunning Sandringham estate at a leisurely pace.

We look forward to welcoming you and making this an exciting and successful addition to the festival!

The Organising Committee may amalgamate classes if there are insufficient entries. However, we are also open to adding more classes if there is demand. If you have any requests or queries, please email sarah@sandringhamhorsedrivingtrials.co.uk to discuss.

Open to a registered Hackney Pony stallion, mare or gelding to be driven in a show wagon 13.2hh and under. This class is run in accordance with Hackney Horse Society rules.

 Open to a registered Hackney Horse stallion, mare or gelding to be driven in a show wagon over 13.2hh. This class is run in accordance with Hackney Horse Society rules.

Open to a novice registered Hackney Horse or Pony stallion, mare or gelding to be driven in a show wagon. This class is run in accordance with Hackney Horse Society rules.

Open to single, pair, tandem or team of any height driven to a suitable traditional carriage (2 or 4 wheel) and excluding exercise vehicles or show wagons 

There is also a Hackney Type Private Drive class on Sunday 29th June

Open to first and second prizes in the above classes.
